Buy VW Polo [AW] Rear Wiper Arm – 2G0 955 707 – Genuine Volkswagen

Product Overview: Genuine Volkswagen Rear Wiper Arm

Restore the clearing efficiency and aesthetic of your vehicle’s rear window with the Genuine Volkswagen Rear Wiper Arm (Part Number: 2G0 955 707). Designed specifically for the Volkswagen Polo [AW] (2018–Present), this arm is a vital component for maintaining rear visibility in challenging US weather.

When a rear wiper arm becomes worn, damaged, or suffers from a weak tension spring, the wiper blade will fail to maintain even contact with the glass, resulting in streaking, juddering, or complete failure to clear water. As a Genuine OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) component, this replacement arm ensures the correct geometry, tension, and fitment that aftermarket alternatives often lack.

Why Choose Genuine VW Wiper Arms?

• Factory-Specified Tension: Engineered to provide the exact amount of pressure required to keep the wiper blade flush against the rear window, ensuring a streak-free sweep.

• Perfect Integration: Designed for the specific spline and mounting point of the Polo AW tailgate, guaranteeing a secure, rattle-free fit.

• Corrosion Resistance: Manufactured from high-quality, weather-treated materials that resist the degrading effects of road salt, moisture, and UV exposure.

• OEM Aesthetic: Matches the original factory look of your vehicle perfectly, maintaining the clean lines of your Polo’s rear tailgate.

Compatibility & Fitment

This wiper arm is the official factory component for the Volkswagen Polo [AW] generation.

• Compatible Models: VW Polo [AW] / [GP] (2018–Present)

• OEM Part Number: 2G0 955 707

• Fitment Note: Installation typically involves removing a plastic cap, unscrewing the mounting nut, and pulling the old arm off the spline. Ensure the mounting area is clean and free of debris before fitting the new arm. If you are replacing the arm, we highly recommend also replacing your rear wiper blade to ensure optimal performance.

Performance, Build Quality, and Maintenance

Engineering for Excellence

The rear wiper system is essential for your safety when reversing or checking your surroundings in heavy rain. A genuine arm ensures that the motor’s force is transferred efficiently to the blade, preventing unnecessary strain on the rear wiper motor.

Maintenance Tips for Visibility

• Check the Spring: If you notice the wiper blade isn’t touching the glass properly, the spring inside the arm may have lost its tension. Replacing the arm is the standard, recommended fix.

• Keep Splines Clean: When replacing the arm, ensure the metal spline underneath is clean of grime to ensure the new arm seats properly and does not slip.

• Annual Inspection: Make it a habit to check the movement of your rear wiper during your annual service or before the winter season arrives.
