Buy Rear Wiper Arm – 6R6 955 707 B for VW Polo [6R] – Genuine Volkswagen Parts in Stock

Product Overview

The Genuine Volkswagen Rear Wiper Arm (OEM Part Number: 6R6 955 707 B) is the direct replacement component required to restore the clarity and efficiency of your rear windscreen cleaning system. As a critical safety component, your rear wiper arm is responsible for ensuring unobstructed visibility in rainy or dirty road conditions.

Unlike budget aftermarket arms that often suffer from weak spring tension or brittle plastic housing, this genuine OEM part is manufactured to the exact specifications of the Volkswagen Group. It ensures the correct pressure is applied to the wiper blade, resulting in a streak-free wipe every time. By choosing the 6R6 955 707 B, you guarantee a perfect mechanical fit with your vehicle’s wiper motor assembly, ensuring the longevity and reliability expected from a genuine VW component.

Compatibility & Fitment

This rear wiper arm is specifically engineered for the Volkswagen Polo [6R] generation, known for its compact design and specific rear-glass curvature.

• Compatible Models: Volkswagen Polo [6R] and [6C] Hatchback.

• Years: 2009–2017.

• Fitment Note: This arm is designed to be paired with the specific compatible rear wiper blade. Please verify your existing wiper arm part number (6R6 955 707 B) to ensure this is the exact replacement needed for your specific trim level.

Why Correct Wiper Functionality Matters

Visibility is a core aspect of vehicle safety, particularly in the US where wet weather is frequent. A damaged or worn wiper arm can lead to:

• Ineffective Wiping: Leaves streaks or un-wiped areas on the glass, compromising rear-view visibility.

• System Damage: A loose or misaligned arm can place unnecessary stress on the wiper motor or damage the glass surface.

• Noisy Operation: A loose spring tension can cause the wiper blade to chatter or “skip” across the windscreen.

Performance Benefits

• Clear Visibility: Ensures the rear windscreen is kept clean, enhancing driver awareness during rain, fog, or spray from other vehicles.

• OEM Reliability: High-grade materials resist sun-fading, cracking, and corrosion, ensuring the arm remains functional through various seasons.

• Seamless Integration: Designed specifically for the Polo 6R motor spline, ensuring a straightforward and secure installation without the need for modifications.

• Safety Compliance: Keeps your vehicle in roadworthy condition, which is a key factor during your annual MOT inspection.

Build Quality & Engineering

Genuine Volkswagen parts are manufactured under the “Formula Q” quality standards. The 6R6 955 707 B is distinguished by:

• High-Strength Polymers: The arm casing is reinforced to resist impact and environmental degradation.

• Precision Spring Tension: The integrated spring is factory-tuned to apply the perfect amount of force to the glass.

• Corrosion Resistance: The pivot point is engineered to withstand moisture and salt, common in the US road environment, preventing seizure.

Installation & Maintenance

Replacing the rear wiper arm on a Polo 6R is a straightforward task.

• Installation: Typically requires removing the protective cap, unscrewing the mounting nut, and sliding the old arm off the spline.

• Pro-Tip: If the old arm is stuck due to age/corrosion, use a gentle penetrating oil and a specialized puller tool to avoid damaging the motor shaft.

• Maintenance: We recommend checking the arm tension annually during your service. If the wiper blade starts to streak, ensure the arm is applying even pressure across the glass.

Durability & Storage

Supplied in official Volkswagen packaging, the arm should be kept in its box until installation to ensure the finish remains scratch-free and the spring mechanism is protected.
