Buy Golf 7 Estate [5G9] Rear Wiper Blade – Genuine Volkswagen Parts

Product Description

Visibility is paramount, especially in the unpredictable US weather. If your rear wiper is leaving streaks, making chattering noises, or failing to clear your rear window effectively, it is time for a replacement. The Genuine Volkswagen Golf 7 Estate [5G9] Rear Wiper Blade (OEM Part Number: 5G9 955 427 B) is the exact component engineered for your vehicle’s specific sweep pattern and curvature.

Unlike “universal” wiper blades found in supermarket aisles, this genuine OEM blade is designed specifically for the extended glass area of the Golf 7 Estate. It provides consistent pressure across the entire length of the blade, ensuring a smooth, silent, and streak-free wipe every single time you activate it.

Compatibility & Fitment

This rear wiper blade is a direct-fit replacement for:

• Model Compatibility: Volkswagen Golf 7 Estate [5G9] (2013–2020).

• OEM Reference: 5G9 955 427 B.

• Importance of Fitment: The Estate tailgate requires a specific blade length and attachment arm design. Using the correct OEM part ensures the blade sits flush against the glass without skipping, preventing damage to the rear screen and ensuring the longevity of the wiper motor.

How It Works

The rear wiper system on the Golf 7 Estate is designed for high-frequency use.

• Rubber Compound: Genuine VW blades utilize a dual-material rubber compound—a hard base for stability and a soft friction edge for clearing water effectively.

• Performance: Over time, the rubber hardens due to UV exposure and debris. A new blade restores the “new car” clarity, which is essential for safe reversing and parking during heavy rainfall.

Performance Benefits

• Streak-Free Visibility: Provides crystal-clear vision behind you in all conditions.

• Silent Operation: Engineered to glide across the glass without the annoying chatter associated with worn or low-quality blades.

• Durability: Tested against millions of cycles to ensure long-term performance in extreme temperatures—from freezing winter nights to hot summer days.

• Perfect Fit: Snaps onto the existing wiper arm in seconds with no special tools required.

Build Quality & Engineering

They are aerodynamic, minimizing lift at motorway speeds, and are resistant to chemical degradation from screen wash and road grime.

Installation & Maintenance

Replacing your wiper blade is one of the easiest DIY maintenance tasks you can perform.

• Fitting: Simply lift the wiper arm, release the clip, slide out the old blade, and click the new 5G9 955 427 B blade into place.

• Tip: Clean the rear glass thoroughly before fitting your new blade to ensure the new rubber isn’t immediately contaminated by old dirt.
