Buy N/S Front Fog Light – 1K0941699C – Genuine Volkswagen Parts in Stock

Visibility is paramount when driving in challenging US weather conditions. Whether you are navigating heavy fog, driving rain, or low-light conditions, your front fog lights provide the essential low-level illumination needed to see the road ahead clearly. If your Near Side (N/S) fog light is cracked, fogged, or non-functional, our genuine 1K0941699C assembly is the perfect OEM solution to restore your vehicle’s safety and front-end aesthetic.

Product Overview

The 1K0941699C is a high-performance fog light assembly designed for the Near Side (passenger side) of various Volkswagen models.

• Classification: Genuine Volkswagen (OEM) or premium OEM-equivalent, ensuring that the lens clarity, beam pattern, and housing fitment match the quality of your vehicle’s original equipment.

• Primary Function: Provides a wide, low-angled beam pattern that cuts through fog, mist, and heavy rain without reflecting light back into the driver’s eyes.

• Importance: A damaged lens can allow moisture to enter the housing, causing bulb failure or internal corrosion. Replacing the unit ensures your vehicle remains road-legal and safe for all conditions.

Compatibility & Fitment

This fog light is precision-engineered for specific Volkswagen platforms, including popular models like the Golf Mk5, Jetta, and various other VAG group vehicles of that era.

• OEM Part Number: 1K0941699C.

• Placement: Near Side / Front Left (Passenger side in the US).

• Fitment Tip: Compatibility can vary depending on the specific bumper styling (e.g., standard vs. GTI/R-Line bumpers). We strongly recommend providing your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) when ordering so we can confirm this part matches your vehicle’s exact bumper configuration.

How It Works

The fog light assembly is mounted low in the front bumper. Unlike your headlights, which project light forward and upward, the fog light is designed to project a shallow, wide “fan” of light directly onto the road surface immediately in front of the vehicle. This minimizes glare and helps you identify lane markings and road edges when visibility is reduced to under 100 metres.

Performance & Build Quality

• Optical Clarity: High-grade glass or polycarbonate lens designed to resist stone chips and yellowing over time.

• Environmental Sealing: Hermetically sealed to prevent moisture ingress, ensuring the unit remains clear regardless of the weather.

• Durability: Built to withstand the high-vibration environment of the front bumper and the thermal cycling caused by the heat of the fog light bulb.

Installation & Maintenance

• Fitting: Installation typically involves removing the fog light grille or bezel in the front bumper. In many models, this can be done without removing the entire bumper, though professional assistance is recommended to ensure correct alignment.

• Bulbs: This assembly is typically supplied without the bulb. We recommend replacing your bulbs with high-quality units to ensure matching light output on both sides of the vehicle.

• Maintenance: Keep the lens clean. A layer of road film or mud can significantly reduce the effective range of your fog lights.
