Buy Mirror Adjustment Switch 5G0 959 565 AJ ICX for VW US – Genuine Replacement

Is your Volkswagen’s mirror adjustment switch unresponsive, sticking, or showing signs of electrical failure? The Mirror Adjustment Switch (OEM Part Number: 5G0 959 565 AJ ICX) is a critical component for controlling your vehicle’s side mirrors. As a genuine Volkswagen replacement part, this switch restores full functionality, allowing you to precisely adjust your mirror angles and activate the heating elements with factory-standard reliability.

Product Overview: Restoring Full Control

The mirror adjustment switch is a frequently used interior component, making it susceptible to mechanical wear, contact oxidation, and accidental spills. The 5G0 959 565 AJ ICX is an authentic Volkswagen OEM module designed specifically for the Golf MK7 and compatible platforms. Replacing a failing switch with this genuine unit ensures your mirrors operate smoothly and that the electrical communication between the driver’s door and the mirror motors remains fault-free.

Why Choose Genuine OEM?

• Perfect Integration: Designed to match the exact dash illumination colour and tactile “click” feel of your original interior buttons.

• Durability: Unlike cheap aftermarket switches that may fail after a few months, this OEM unit is tested for thousands of cycles.

• Electrical Safety: Guarantees proper impedance and compatibility with your vehicle’s CAN-bus electrical system, preventing short circuits or parasitic battery drain.

Compatibility & Fitment

This switch is compatible with a wide range of Volkswagen models built on the MQB platform.

• Primary Compatibility: VW Golf MK7 [5G], Golf Estate, and related models.

• Features: Designed for units with mirror heating and folding functionality (depending on your vehicle’s specific trim level).

• OEM Reference: 5G0 959 565 AJ ICX (Please verify this part number against your existing switch to ensure the correct revision for your trim level).

Note: If your vehicle has additional features like memory seats or power-folding mirrors, it is essential to use the correct revision (AJ ICX) to maintain these specific functions.

How It Works

The switch serves as the interface for your vehicle’s mirror motor control module. When you move the dial, it sends electrical signals to the mirror motors to adjust the glass position. The “AJ ICX” revision is the latest iteration of this component, featuring upgraded contact materials for improved longevity and responsiveness.

Installation & Maintenance

Replacing this switch is a relatively straightforward job for most DIYers:

1. Remove Trim: Use a plastic pry tool to gently lift the window/mirror switch surround panel on the driver’s door card.

2. Disconnect: Unplug the wiring harness from the back of the old switch.

3. Swap: Unclip the mirror adjustment switch from the door panel housing and insert the new 5G0 959 565 AJ ICX unit.

4. Test: Reconnect the harness and verify mirror adjustment functions before snapping the trim panel back into place.
